Jennifer Nelson has held leadership and technical roles in the insurance industry for over 18 years. Her specialties at Christopher Gross Consulting include:
Prior to joining Christopher Gross Consulting, Jennifer was a Second Vice President at St Paul Travelers. She was responsible for assessing and reporting the corporation’s risk level for natural catastrophes and terrorism risks, to all levels of management, including the board of directors, and external parties such as rating agencies. Jennifer implemented a cost of capital framework to help clarify the risk-reward tradeoff at a transactional level with regard to catastrophe risks.
Jennifer has served as finance director for the St Paul Small Commercial underwriting office, priced individual property-casualty accounts in St Paul’s Large Accounts area, and analyzed reserves in St Paul’s Corporate Actuarial department. She also worked as a financial analyst/manager of crew planning at Northwest Airlines.
Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and minors in Mathematics and Foreign Studies.
