Joe Wenc has been in the insurance industry since 1993. His background is actuarial in nature, focused on primary property and casualty business. Before joining Christopher Gross Consulting, Joe was most recently Assistant Vice President and Actuary at Zurich North America. In that capacity, he had responsibility for profitability measurement, reinsurance support and property and specialty product support for the Construction business unit.

Prior to his two years with Zurich North America, Joe spent seven years with St. Paul Travelers in various profitability measurement and reserving roles. Joe also held positions at Milliman USA and American West Insurance Company, a former regional insurance carrier that was part of the W.R. Berkley Corporation.

Joe graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Worcester, MA) with a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Mathematics in 1993. Joe became a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) in 2002 and achieved the designation of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) in 2003.
